Certified Data Destruction

One major concern with selling your used IT equipment can be how your sensitive data is handled. Ticknology UK Ltd has processes in place to ensure your data is completely erased, thoroughly and securely.

How We Handle Your Data

Any used 'data-bearing' equipment Ticknology UK Ltd receives will go through a thorough data erasure process. We only use certified data erasure software (Such as Blancco or White Canyon), which will completely erase all data from Hard Drives and Solid State Drives contained within Laptops, PCs, Tablets and other similar devices.

Certificates of Data Erasure

Every device or hard drive we erase will have a 'Certificate of Data Erasure' generated to signify when the drive was erased and to what security level. The data erasure software we use complies with the highest of National and International Government standards.

Onsite Data Erasure

Ticknology UK Ltd can also provide onsite data erasure, enabling us to erase data from hard drives whilst they remain on your premises. This can be done before we remove the equipment from your site, or we can also offer this as a separate service if you wish to retain your devices. Please contact us for more information.

Physical Destruction

Any hard drives or SSDs which fail the data erasure process will be physically destroyed to ensure your data remains secure. We work closely with an ISO27001 certified company (Information Security Management System) who are able to physically shred hard drives at our warehouse, rendering any data on them completely irretrievable. We will provide certificates of destruction for any hard drives which need to go through this process.

Your Contact Information

Separately to any equipment we receive, your personal contact information is also treated with the same levels of privacy and security. Any information you provide to Ticknology UK Ltd will be used by us to fulfil the requirements of the stock or asset purchase only. We do not sell your information to any third parties.
